The problem
A hospitality site with a real reservation engine behind it: date-range availability checking, room selection, Paystack payment and transactional confirmation email. Delivered as a two-month contract.
The resort was taking bookings by phone and WhatsApp, which meant availability lived in someone's head and enquiries arriving overnight went unanswered until morning. A brochure site would not have fixed that; the booking had to complete on the site, take payment, and confirm itself.

How I built it
Availability before aesthetics
The build started from the reservation flow, not the homepage. A date-range picker feeding a real availability check against persisted bookings, room-type selection, then Paystack for payment — the local processor guests actually recognise. Everything visual was arranged around that path rather than the other way round.
Confirmation as part of the product
A booking that doesn't produce a confirmation email isn't finished, it's just a payment. Transactional emails are built as React components and sent through Resend, so the confirmation is versioned alongside the code that triggers it rather than living in a dashboard nobody opens.
